Lighthouses in Michigan

  1. I would love to see Copper Harbor Lighthouse, and I think my family and I are going to go see it in the summer. I can’t wait!

  6. My lighthouse is Tawas Point in Tawas City, Michigan. The light is red and it blinks every 9 seconds. I really want to go there someday.

  7. I love science. My lighthouse is the South Manitou Light. The light is not active.

  8. I love reading all of your comments about the lighthouses. Make sure you mention the name of your lighthouse so everyone will know which one you are talking about! Preserving the lighthouses in Michigan is very important and because you know so much about them, you can support this issue of preservation. Tell me more about your lighthouse!

  9. I would love to visit the St. Helena Lighthouse because I would like to see all the fine rooms inside it!! It would be really cool!!

  10. The most suprising thing I’ve learned is that Tawas Point Light House is that it it marks the northern corner of Saginaw Bay.

  13. My lighthouse is St.Helena, and I am going to visit my lighthouse this summer. I really learned a lot about my lighthouse.I want to see all the fine rooms and everything in real life.

  14. I’ve had so much fun doing my lighthouse project! My mom helped me cut the wood and screw in the nail. I think it’s awesome!! I had an idea for the trees and plants for the yard, and I told my mom that it would be cool to make trees out of green wire and beads for the leaves, just to be creative. We have a real light and a glass jar over it because that’s how the light is on the lighthouse, and I put red line stickers on it. It’s going well so far, and I’ll be excited when it’s done.

  15. I love the lighthouse project. It is so fun. I’m even spending more time with my dad doing it. He is helping me out a lot, and I like it a lot! I am making it out of wood, and it looks cool! I think it will be picked to go to downtown.

  16. Did you know Old Mission Point Light is now a house to a park ranger because it is in the national park!

  17. I want to see the St.Joseph lighthouse in the summer, to walk by the lighthouse. I tought this project was really cool.
