Room 119 Reflections
Find out what’s happening in Room 119

Greetings from Seattle, Washington!

Hi Class,

It’s been quite awhile since I’ve even had a chance to get near a computer!  My husband and I are in Seattle visiting our daughter, Katie. We have been out here since Sunday and will be returning home again this Sunday.  We have seen some great sites such as the Boeing Plant in Everett where Katie works.  The plant is the biggest building in the world by volume!!!  Katie is an engineer for Boeing working on the new 787 Dreamliner.  Everyone is very excited about this new airplane!  We have also been downtown Seattle a number of times and saw the greatest views from the famous Space Needle which was built in 1962 for the Seattle World’s Fair. The mountain views of the Cascades, Mt. Baker and Mt. Ranier are amazing.  It is very unusual to be able to see them in December, but we’ve had at least 3 or 4 days of sunshine! Today we are going to drive to Snoqualmie Falls and then later today take the monorail downtown to the famous Pike’s Market.

I have published the posts that some of you have put on the classwork pages, so check them out and make comments.   Enjoy the rest of your vacation and let me know what you are doing!

Love,  Mrs. McConville

  1. Sorry to interrupt this board with outside business, but I was wondering if the Mrs. McConville posting here would happen to be the same Mrs. McConville who taught for DoD schools in Friedberg, Germany around 85′ or so? More specifically, I guess, the “American” school at Bad Nauheim.

  2. Hi, I am blogging from Melbourne, Florida. I swam in the ocean yesterday when it was about 85° F and got knocked under by a huge wave. It was scary!

  3. How was Seattle, Washington?

  4. Sorry, David, but I am not the same Mrs. McConville who taught at the American School in Germany. The only time I was in Germany I visited Frankfort on my way to Russia.

    Mrs. McC.
